I had the awesomest dream last night.

I was a TRANSFORMER. G1 style ftw. (Don't ask me how...)

I think I was Starscream, because I was a Blue/Red/Gray jet.
But I was ME. I was FLYING. And TRANSFORMING! And shooting stuff and blowing things up. It was like a movie, and I had to explode a petrol tanker.

It was awesome.

Oddly enough there were three other people/transformers with me on my mission to blow stuff up (actually, one was the bad guy), but they were all from DA so I'm not going to say who, haha. (Because it's creepy to dream about people from DA. wtf).

That's the last time I check my DA account right before going to bed.

...Or is it?

I had a scary emo-moment in the shower today.

My nose suddenly started bleeding and it went EVERYWHERE.

The sides of the shower and the drain looked like a scene from CSI, me included. Even with the shower running I couldn't wash the blood away fast enough - it just . wouldn't . stop.

I was standing there compressing it, watching the blood drops come thick and fast, and thinking to myself how much blood someone had to lose before they passed out. If the icckyness of the situation didn't cause me to faint first.

Then I thought man... this would have to be one of the most embarrassing ways to die... loss of blood from a bleeding nose brought on by allergies... allergies that were aggravated by the dust kicked up from thoroughly cleaning my room... so basically, death from my own nerdy fault. I've suffered the odd bleeding nose before when I'm sick, but NOTHING like the little incident I had today...

I should have curled up all emo-like in the bottom of the shower and taken a photo.

I totally would have scored a DD

i'm cleaning out my room in preperation for moving and i found about 12 blank canvases that i bought ages ago thinking 'i'm going to paint!!!!' and then never did :< so if i get time before i move i might have a go.

To those of you who haven't played this 'game'... you should!

It's an educational vocabulary game, but hear me out before you stop reading any further! Your correct answers go towards a worthy cause! You win 20 grains of rice for each correct answer, which is distributed by the UN World Food Program to people who are starving. The rice is paid for by the advertisers that are on screen as you play. (see the FAQ if you have any other questions [link] ).

When I heard of it I was like 'pffft... how hard can a word game be??' but after the 3rd or 4th go I'm like 'is this even a word!?'.

I watched a piece on the news about this program, and it does work... a school in africa can continue to run due to the free rice they can give the students at lunch time. Their 'school' is a mud-floor hut and every morning they have to drag their own benches in from outside.

I'm still not sure how people can survive on just rice, though... Hopefully if enough people play this game they'll be able to offer 'Free fruit' and 'Free animals' or something a little more... substantial

Since writing this journal I've earned 240 grains of rice and have a Vocab level of 40... whatever that means. I hope that's not out of 100. I think I need to play more.

i got dragged along to Armageddon Pulp Expo 08 in Christchurch yesterday... someone wanted their photo taken with a stormtrooper, so i had to pay $16 to go along and hold the camera for him. that's what nerd girlfriends are for.

i, on the other hand, have a strong aversion to having my photo taken next to a man (or possibly a woman) in a costume... my body language is probably textbook for 'i feel like an idiot'. note the crossed arms and HORRIFIC DOUBLE CHIN from trying to pull my face back out of the photo frame this is what ALL of my photos from MovieWorld in australia looked like.... which is why they were never posted

i'm still not quite sure what he was trying to do with his hand/claw.

now tim wants a stormtrooper costume, but they're like $1000 apparently. i asked if i got him one if his fantasy would be to have sex in it, but he was like 'what? are you kidding? it has a blastplate over the crotch to protect against laser strikes... i'm not taking that off'.

so. no costume for him.
